Danny is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Arizona in Dr. Sabrina McNew's lab

My Ph.D. work spanned several projects:

  1. An analysis of introgression and differentiation in the Sula genus of the Sulidae family. Whole genome sequence data. Paper in review.

  2. A study of the impacts of urbanization on physiologies and interactions of cardinals (Northern Cardinals and Pyrrhuloxia) in Tucson, Arizona. Comparative niche modeling, field ecology, comparative physiology, and genomics. Two papers in review, one in prep.

  3. A curriculum intervention to improve representation of marginalized scientists and LGBTQ-related topics in an undergraduate Animal Biology course, along with a study to assess the effects of the intervention. Paper in review.
